The Pros and Cons of Sculpt Nation’s Protein Powder

Here’s our in-depth look at Sculpt Nation Protein powder supplement. We’ll cover its ingredient profile, safety, effectiveness in helping you build lean muscle, and more.

A protein powder is a proven and safe way of supporting your fitness goals. It not only helps you meet your daily protein intake that’s required to grow muscle efficiently, protein can also help you recover faster from your workouts and also improve your metabolism so you burn fat quicker.

However, not all protein supplements are created equal. Sculpt Nation has received a lot of criticism for its pushy marketing tactics, sloppy customer support, recurring credit card charges, and maybe worst of all, products that fail to deliver on the promises.

The face of the company, VShred or also known as Vince, is often seen on Youtube blatantly promising different unfounded benefits of their supplements, such as Burn fat burner and Test Boost Max which we already trialed – and were not very impressed with.

But how does Sculpt Nation Protein hold up to scrutiny? Can it give you the same (or better) benefits than your regular protein powder? What makes it stand out? We inspect Sculpt Nation’s Protein Powder with a fine-tooth comb as well as looking at what other customers had to say to give you all the key facts about this supplement before purchasing it.

About Sculpt Nation Protein

Sculpt Nation Protein is a mix of whey protein isolates and concentrates. It comes in 2 different flavors: chocolate and vanilla and costs $47 per tub (30 servings).

Key features you should know about Sculpt Nation’s Protein:

  • Helps with post-workout recovery
  • High dose of BCAAs
  • Naturally bioavailable meaning your body can absorb it efficiently
  • Can be used as a meal replacement for fat loss
  • Helps increase protein intake to maintain lean muscle while cutting weight
  • Non-GMO.
  • 3 grams of leucine per serving
  • 100% money-back guarantee (it’s important to note that many customers have reported the refund process to be a headache)
  • Sells only in the USA and Canada

Whey protein remains the most popular type of protein supplement for building muscle. However, it contains dairy so it’s not ideal if you’re intolerant.

You won’t find Sculpt Nation Protein on Amazon or any place other than its official website. We do find this to be a good thing as it cuts out the middle man out of the picture, resulting in a cheaper price of the product!

How to use Sculpt Nation Protein

You can mix 1 scoop with water or milk after your workout or any time of the day to help you meet your goal protein intake. As mentioned, you can also take Sculpt Nation Protein as a meal replacement if you’re dieting.

Note that the mixability of this product isn’t smooth so you may not be able to dissolve it fully in a glass with a spoon, for example. Opt for a shaker bottle instead.

Taste

As far as the taste goes, Sculpt Nation tastes like your typical protein powder. The artificial sweeteners do leave a synthetic aftertaste in the mouth for some of our team members, but others haven’t noticed anything weird. Overall, it’s a 3/5 taste. Decent, punchy, but not too sweet. If taste is all you care about, then Sculpt Nation’s Protein won’t be your ideal choice but it’s definitely not the worst one we tried either!

As mentioned, we’ve found the mixability of Sculpt Nation Protein to be sub-par. We often had chunks left even after shaking it vigorously. When trying it with a spoon and in a glass of water, it took several minutes for the protein powder to fully dissolve.

Ingredients in Sculpt Nation Protein Powder

Sculpt Nation Protein Ingredients and Nutrition Facts

The main ingredients in Sculpt Nation Protein powder are:

  • Whey Protein Concentrate
  • Whey Protein Isolate

The manufacturers say their whey protein isolate makes up 90% of the total protein. This is a claim for which they don’t provide any pictures of analysis or other evidence that would show the exact ratio of protein in this supplement.

You do get 25g of protein per scoop which is the industry standard, giving you a good amount of protein overall to help fill up your daily requirements for this muscle-building macronutrient.

Other ingredients in Sculpt Nation Protein include:

  • Natural and artificial flavors
  • Acesultame potassium
  • Silicon Dioxide

The fact that Sculpt Nation Protein isn’t 100% naturally flavored might be an issue for some. Some individuals would argue that synthetic sweeteners like aspartame or sucralose can mess with the gut microbiome and brain health, which some evidence does support.

Nonetheless, we feel this is an entirely personal choice, and some people do just absolutely fine on these kinds of whey proteins.

Customer Reviews

There’s not much to say here. Although they have millions of followers on social media, Sculpt Nation Protein doesn’t have many independent reviews online. The company itself isn’t a particularly trusted brand when it comes to its supplements.

For example, Sculpt Nation has a rating of 1.9 stars out of more than 147 reviews on Trustpilot.

People are bashing their products in general, and although we don’t think Sculpt Nation Protein is a downright bad product (unlike some of their other offerings!), we do get the frustration with the lack of good customer support and sleazy sales videos of shirtless Vince.

Side effects – Is it safe?

Sculpt Nation Protein is a fairly safe product. Unless you’re sensitive to dairy, it will not cause any major side effects. The only other potential issue that should be mentioned here is the use of artificial sweeteners which may or may not cause long-term side effects. We need more studies before drawing any conclusions on this. Until then, we’ll let you be the judge!

Our Conclusion

If you want to build a strong and lean body, you need to ensure you’re getting high-quality, easy digestible protein. Allowing your body to starve after working out can put you into a catabolic state where you’re burning muscle instead of fat. A nightmare scenario of any fitness fanatic!

A high-quality, bioavailable protein can quickly rush the essential amino acids into your system, which helps with the repair and growth of your muscles while you sleep.

So the only question left then is, does Sculpt Nation Protein offer good value for money? Is it a protein powder that you can rely on when it comes to helping you with your fitness goals? Well, let’s give you our quick pros and cons list so you can decide for yourself!

Sculpt Nation Protein’s Pros and Cons

  • Pros: good amount of protein per scoop (25g), 30 servings per tub, 2 decent flavors
  • Cons: uses artificial sweeteners, poor mixability, not a pure protein isolate, not for those who’re intolerant to dairy, $47 per tub, low manufacturer rating on Trustpilot
