Ghost Burn Review: Does This Fat Burner Work? (updated)

Welcome to our Ghost Burn review! A natural fat-burning drink designed to help you get leaner, feel healthier, and snack less often on foods. If you’ve ever considered using a fat burner to help you lose weight, you were probably overwhelmed with the number of options available.

In this review, we did the legwork for you. We analyzed Ghost Burn in-depth to see how it compares against the current market-leading fat burners in terms of effectiveness, safety, serving sizes, value for money, and more.

If you don’t have time to read the whole review, we’ll start with an brief summary.

Ghost Burn At a Glance:

Does Ghost Burn help with weight loss? It does, but not to the extent that some other fat burners in its price range do. It has carnitine and Grains of Paradise which have mixed results in studies when it comes to weight loss. For $44.99 per tub, you’d expect to see more proven fat loss ingredients, but that’s not the case with GHOST Burn. While it does have a good amount of caffeine for energy and focus, it also uses Bitter Orange Extract which adds an unnecessary stimulant load on your adrenals, and can cause a burn-out. There are definitely safer and more effective options available on the market right now.

  • Vegan Friendly
  • Contains 40 servings per tub
  • 5 fruit flavors
  • Great company reputation
  • 1-2 servings per day
  • Caffeine+ Citrus Aurantium is a recipe for jitters
  • Missing green tea extract and other thermogenics for extra calorie burn
  • Missing Glucomannan, a natural fiber that swells in the stomach and prevents food cravings
  • It can serve as a pre-workout

About Ghost Burn Fat Burner

Ghost Burn is a natural thermogenic fat burner drink with plenty of proven fat burner ingredients.

From the good old caffeine anhydrous to carnitine, it packs a punch and can also serve as a pre-workout by giving you a boost of energy throughout the day.

Added are the natural Ashwagandha, Grains of Paradise, and a few other ingredients. Some of these are decent, others either aren’t proven to burn fat, or can cause adverse side effects. More on that in a second.

GHOST promise their Burn formula will help “deliver on every level,” giving you not just more energy to stay on top of your diet and training, but also providing a stimulant ‘kick’ to your metabolism – burning calories more efficiently.

Generally speaking, we aren’t the biggest fans of fat burner powders. Why? Because they can’t be dosed as effectively as, say, capsules. With capsule-based fat burners, you know the precise dose of a certain ingredient to the milligram. This is more difficult to achieve when gauging a fat burner with a scoop.

These are some of the reasons why fat burner capsules have generally been shown to be the most effective and safest. But is GHOST Burn an exception to the rule?

We find out in the next sections of our Ghost Burn review below!

Ghost Burn Flavors

Ghost Burn is currently available in 5 different flavors:

  • Mango
  • Piña colada
  • Warheads Sour Watermelon
  • Warheads Sour Green Apple
  • Spicy Pineapple Margarita

We’ve tried all of these flavors ourselves, and while none of them tasted too weird, Mango and Spicy Pineapple Margarita were our favorites.

Mango review

Ghost Burn Mango tastes… well, like mango! It’s a pretty good flavor, there’s not too much to say about it. It’s a naturally sweetened product so you don’t need to worry about artificial aftertaste. This also means the flavor is not too intense, which some people will oddly find off-putting (some people are used to harsh aroma chemicals and so anything that’s natural will feel too bland to them – if you’re one of these people, then probably none of Ghost Burn Flavors will tickle your fancy!).

Spicy pineapple margharita review

This is our favorite Ghost Burn flavor out of all 5. It tastes really rich and creamy, and mixes extremely well (even with a spoon!). Imagine mixing margharita with pineapple, and then adding some chilli pepper to it. It may not sound too good on the paper, but if you’re a fan of pineapples and margharitas, trust us! This one is a killer.

How to Use Ghost Burn (Instructions)

Directions for using Ghost Burn fat burner is to take 1-2 scoops per day with tons of water throughout the day. This keeps the ingredients processing efficiently out of the kidneys.

However, this still isn’t the best way to take a fat burner. The most effective fat burners use 3-4 daily servings for a reason – to keep the effects circulating in your system for longer.

With only 1-2 daily doses, Ghost Burn doesn’t last more than several hours, which leaves a big gap in its fat burning effects. Another thing…

You may wonder if Ghost Burn should be taken before or after a workout. Since it has caffeine, it’s best taken before a workout to help you have more energy when exercising.

Ghost Burn Nutrition Facts

Ghost Burn only has 5 calories per scoop; 10 calories if you’re double-scooping it. Impressively, it has 3 grams of carbs per scoop, with 2 being fiber! This makes Ghost Burn a keto-friendly drink.

Ingredients

There are 11 ingredients in Ghost Burn:

  • Carnitine (as L Carnitine Tartrate and N-Acetyl L-Carnitine) (1500mg)
  • Choline Bitartrate (500mg)
  • KSM-66 Ashwagandha (300mg)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous (150mg)
  • Cocoa Bean Extract (50mg)
  • NeuroFactor Coffee Fruit Extract (50mg)
  • Bitter Orange (Citrus Aurantium) extract (30mg)
  • Grains of Paradise (20mg)
  • Black Pepper BioPerine Extract (5mg)

GHOST is commited to having a full-disclosure open label, which means you can see the dose of every ingredient. With no proprietary blends, you know exactly what you’re getting in each scoop.

So, what are some of the ingredients inside?

Stimulants for Energy

As you’ll notice, caffeine content in GHOST Burn is 150mg per scoop, along with some other minor sources of the stimulant such as coffee fruit extract. This should ensure you get enough energy to push through your workouts and to heighten willpower. [1] With the aggressive stimulant Bitter Orange added, GHOST Burn can also serve you as a pre-workout, though not the safest one around!

Adaptogens to Combat the Fat-Promoting Hormone Cortisol

There’s also Ashwagandha in GHOST, which is a herb that may help cancel out some of the adverse effects of the Bitter Orange and Caffeine combo. It also reduces stress hormones which are linked to fat gain. [2]

And a few inclusions that aren’t proven to work

GHOST does use a few unproven ingredients, such as Grains of Paradise and carnitine. The former is not yet supported by human studies to lead to significant weight loss. The latter (carnitine) helps your body to shuttle more fat into mitochondria where the fat is converted to energy, but the effect isn’t strong enough to lead to visible weight loss.

We’d personally replace these two ingredients with an appetite suppressant such as Glucomannan to help combat food cravings.

As for coca extract, it’s good for raising your blood flow through nitric oxide stimulation, but not much more!

Is GHOST missing anything? Yes, sadly. Green Tea Extract, Cayenne Pepper Extract, and a few other core ingredients would make it more effective at helping you burn more calories throughout the day – and consequently, contributing to bigger shifts in your body weight.

Final Thoughts on GHOST Burn’s Ingredient Formula?

GHOST Burn’s formula as a whole doesn’t look too convincing. It will give you energy, but considering the potential for side effects and the lack of some key fat loss ingredients, it doesn’t score as the best fat burner formula on the market right now.

Customer Reviews

There aren’t many Ghost Burn Customer Reviews around except for the ones on their official websites which, for obvious reasons, we won’t include since they’re moderated.

In terms of Ghost Burn Reddit Reviews, we’ve scoured a few threads such as this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/Supplements/comments/f0i8w3/ghost_burn_and_ghost_size/

According to one user, Ghost Burn will work as a thermogenic in your body, helping you to burn slightly more calories throughout the day.

After inspecting the supplement for ourselves, we can say this is correct, though the number of calories burned will be somewhere in the range of 20-50 per day. Whether that’s worth the price (listed below), is up to you to decide!

Side Effects

Ghost Burn has a sensible dose of caffeine, which by itself shouldn’t cause you much trouble unless you’re sensitive to it.

The real concern here is the usage of Citrus Aurantium, which is banned from being used in some supplement companies. Due to its harsh effects on the heart and adrenals.

As it combines caffeine with Citrus Aurantium, Ghost Burn may cause:

  • Heart palpitations
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • High blood pressure

As we always like to note, and especially for the reasons mentioned above, don’t take GHOST Burn if you have a condition – talk with your physician first!

Price and Value for Money?

Ghost Burn costs $44.99 for 40 servings on its official website. Which we find to be a decent value for money if you’re looking for a strong pre-workout with a slight fat-burning edge. Although, it’s not the most effective or safest fat burner at this price range.

GHOST Burn ships to Australia, Canada, New Zeland (NZ), UK, USA; and pretty much everywhere else.

In terms of availability online, you can buy GHOST Burn on GNC and its official GHOST website. Ghost Burn currently isn’t officially available on Amazon.

GHOST Burn isn’t sometimes available in all flavors on its official website. GNC for example, often has the GHOST Burn Pina Colada flavor available while its official website often doesn’t.

GHOST Burn isn’t discontinued at the moment, although you may run into the ‘out of stock’ message on its official website once in a while. In terms of discount codes, GHOST Burn doesn’t offer any right now!

Ghost Burn vs Legend

Ghost Burn and Ghost Legend are different types of supplements. Ghost Burn is mainly a fat burner whereas Ghost Legend is a pre-workout designed to maximize your exercise experience. That said, Ghost Burn has some stimulants that can make it work similar to a pre-workout.

Their price is the same – $44.99. However, while Ghost Burn has 40 servings per tub, Ghost Legend only has 30. This makes Ghost Burn a better value for money.

If your goal is to burn more fat, then Ghost Burn is definitely the better option as it has a few ingredients that can help with that – including Bitter Orange, Caffeine, and Carnitine. Although GHOST Burn is missing proven appetite suppressant and a few other thermogenic ingredients, it’s a decent option for supporting your weight loss goals.

GHOST Legend, on the other hand, is the better option if your goals are muscle pumps and raw energy for gym training. Although, as we’ve said above, Ghost Burn can also give you a good energy kick due to its high stimulant load.

Ghost Burn vs OxyShred

Ghost Burn vs OxyShred – which is the better fat burner? Both are highly popular, but only one can be the winner.

Well, OxyShred uses proprietary blends, which means some of its ingredient doses are hidden. This makes it less transparent than GHOST Burn, which, by contrast, has all of its doses clearly shown on the label.

It doesn’t matter how good are the ingredients in OxyShred are; if we can’t see their doses, we can’t tell if they’re safe or effective. And while GHOST Burn isn’t the most effective fat burner we’ve inspected in the past year, it’s at least more confident in showing everything on its label – which makes it our preferred pick over OxyShred.

Conclusion to Ghost Burn Review

So that, ladies and gents, concludes our GHOST Burn review. Does Ghost Burn actually work? Yes! You will feel GHOST Burn within 30-45 minutes of consuming it. The caffeine and Citrus Aurantium combination will give you a surge of energy. However, due to how aggressive this combo is, it won’t be surprising if you experience side effects.

If you’re into bodybuilding, the stimulants in GHOST Burn can boost up your workout sessions and really help with those muscle gains.

However, since it’s missing several core fat burning ingredients, and since it uses the unsafe stimulant combination, we can’t recommend you to spend $45 on it, when the market’s offerings include much healthier options in this price range.

Pros

  • 150mg of caffeine is a good dose that will give you energy and boost the metabolism
  • Contains carnitine which may subtly aid fat loss
  • 5 great flavor options, and easy mixability
  • 40 servings per tub

Cons

  • Lacking a more effective appetite suppressant
  • Citrus Aurantium is an aggressive stimulant that increases the risk of side effects when paired with caffeine
  • Missing a few thermogenic ingredients like Cayenne Seed extract and Green Tea
  • Lackluster results in terms of fat loss
