Burn XT Black Review – Does This Fat Burner Work?

Welcome to our complete Burn XT Black review, a testosterone booster from Jacked Factory. The following is a short summary of our report, after which you’ll see our full analysis.

[BURN XT BLACK SUMMARY] Although we don’t rate it as one of the very best fat burners available right now, Burn XT Black has some positive things about it and will work great for some people. If you’re someone who can’t get enough of caffeine, then you’ll like some of the aggressively dosed stimulants in this product. It will give you plenty of energy and focus to see your workouts through. Still, this can be a double edged sword causing energy crash and other side effects afterwards. Another downside to this fat burner is that it uses a few unproven ingredients, and has only one serving per day, which means the fat burning effects won’t last longer than several hours.

Pros
  • Competitively priced ($39.99 for 30 servings)
  • Made by a reputable company – Jacked Factory
  • L-Theanine helps ease some of caffeine’s side effects
Cons
  • Missing an appetite suppressant (e.g. Glucomannan)
  • Poor serving schedule
  • Theobromine is an understudied ingredient
  • Total caffeine dosage is pushing the safe limit

Burn XT Black Review – The Basics

Burn XT Black is a thermogenic fat burner that comes in a stylish-looking black bottle of 90 capsules. It’s indended for men and women, and claims to help you:

  • Burn fat while preserving muscle
  • Boost mental focus
  • Have more energy and willpower while on a diet

As you’ll notice, Burn XT Black is marketed to be a “nootropic” fat burner. Meaning, it targets the mental aspect of weight loss just as much as physical fat burning.

But how will it work for you?

We’ll inspect its ingredients, making sure they’re well researched and free of side effects. We’ll also look at its serving schedule to see if it can provide a constant fat burning effect, all that and more in this Burn XT Black review.

The Ingredients

Burn XT Black’s formula has no proprietary blends. This is good – it means we can see everything on the label including the doses. One thing that’s a bit concerning is the amount of stimulants in this product. Totaling over 300mg per serving. This isn’t ideal, it can lead to side effects and energy crashes. Let’s take a closer look:

Burn XT Black Ingredients Label & facta

1. Acetyl L-Carnitine – Unproven Ingredient

Acetyl L-Carnitine keeps getting added to some fat burners, despite being proven to have little to no effects on weight loss. The premise behind carnitine’s benefits is that you need to be deficient in it. However, most people get enough carnitine through food, and their body makes some of its own carnitine. Unless you’re training really hard 4-6 times per week in the gym, then this supplement is completely pointless and just taking up a lot of capsule space.

2. Green Tea Leaf Extract – Boosts Thermogenesis & Provides Antioxidants

This is a great addition. It’s one of our favorite fat burners in general. Providing catechins and other powerful antioxidants, green tea can improve your body’s immune system and offer a wealth of other benefits to your lifestyle. These include improved focus and mental clarity. One thing green tea also does well, is it makes your metabolism more efficient at processing calories.

3. Caffeine Anhydrous – Boosts Metabolism, Focus and Energy

A fat burner without caffeine typically isn’t that strong. Caffine gives it that edge in terms of mental benefits, which are crucial when dieting and craving foods. Having more energy and focus is paramount if you’re set on seeing your goals through, and caffeine can be of huge help in that regard. It has some decent thermogenic effects, too.

4. Theacrine – Lacking Evidence

Theacrine is similar to caffeine in chemical structure, but the effects aren’t that strong. Examine.com reports that Theacrine currently lacks evidence for us to be able to recommend it as one of the best fat burning ingredients. Keep in mind that Theacrine can act as sedative at lower doses, which is exactly the opposite of what you’ll need when dieting.

5. Theobromine – Antioxidant, General Health Benefits

Theobromine is a compound found in some foods, such as cacao and dark chocolate. It has different mechanisms of action, with most of them pertaining to general health and blood flow. So in that sense, it’s looking good. But as far as fat burning is concerned, that’s where this ingredient fails to deliver.

6. CapsiMax Cayenne Pepper Extract – Increases Metabolism

Cayenne or chilli pepper is an ingredient that can be of significant help on your weight loss journey. Its active compounds, capsainoids, are known to stimulate the metabolism and make it work harder. You’ll essentially be feeling the heat from the insite, which will force your body to burn more calories. It’s a great ingredient, although we don’t expect it to do all the heavy lifting in Burn XT formula alone.

7. Theanine – Mood & Relaxation Support

L-Theanine is a compound from green tea and some rare species of mushrooms. It’s a good general health ingredient with some mental benefits. It can boost alpha brain waves which are closely linked to states of deep focus, relaxation, and meditation. What we like about it the most, though, is it’s ability to counteract some of the caffeine’s negative side effects.

8. Dicaffeine Malate Infinergy – Unecessary Stimulant

This is another stimulant in Burn XT Black. It’s a caffeine paired with malic acid that brings longer-lasting benefits than caffeine alone. However, it’s still caffeine. Meaning, the risk of side effects is now much higher since the total caffeine dosage of the supplement is over 300mg. Even L-Theanine might not be enough to ease the crash. If they wanted to include Dicaffeine Malate, they could’ve at least lower the caffeine anhydrous dosage to 100-150mg per serving at most. At this dose it would be much more acceptable and less risky, especially if you’re intolerant to stimulants in general.

9. BioPerine Black Pepper Extract – Absorption Enhancer

Black Pepper Extract contains an active compound piperine, which has been shown in studies to promote bioavailability of other ingredients it’s combined with – mainly curcumin (one of the compounds in the turmeric spice). Although it doesn’t influence weight loss, it’s a good supporting ingredient.

Anything Missing?

We feel there are a couple of important ingredients missing from Burn XT Black. Primarily, an appetite suppressant and a blood sugar regulator.

For appetite reduction, we would use Glucomannan (aka, Konjac Root). This natural fiber swells in your stomach and makes you feel fuller. As for preventing blood sugar spikes after meals, the best ingredient would be GTF-chromium, which also has some direct weight loss benefits.

How to Use Burn XT Black

The label says you should take 3 capsules Burn XT Black once per day.

First off, all that gulping so many pills all at once will do is overload you with caffeine, spike the effects for a short while, and then the effects will wear off.

The best fat burners will always use 3-4 servings per day. Why? Because it prolongs the effects of a fat burner – its ingredients stay in your system for longer. Not only that, but taking 1 capsule multiple times per day is much safer over the long-term, and offers more reliable effects overall.

Side Effects

Burn XT Black shouldn’t cause any major issues for most users. That said, caffeine is dosed too high – over 300mg per serving with all of the ingredients combined. This amount can cause side effects even in more experienced users, depending on your daily caffeine intake from other sources (e.g. coffee). Side effects can include:

  • Heart palpitations
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • High blood pressure

Speak with your doctor before trying any supplement you see featured online, including Burn XT Black. Make sure you do your research on the ingredients and see if you can tolerate it. Never seek advice on the internet!

Price and Value for Money?

Burn XT Black costs around $40, depending on where you buy it. This puts it in the middle-high price range. It’s not the most expensive product, but it does lack some essentials that would make it better value for money. It could be a good investment if you like aggressive amounts of caffeine, though.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Provides a solid mental energy boost
  • Energy kick from caffeine will help your workouts
  • No proprietary blends

Cons

  • Lack of some core essentials, such as Glucomannan for appetite and GTF-Chromium for blood sugar regulation
  • Weak serving schedule (3 caps once per day)
  • Uses a few unproven ingredients, including Theobromine and Carnitine
  • Stimulants are aggressively dosed

Conclusion to Burn XT Black Review

So that ultimately concludes our Burn XT Black review.

It’s a product that some users will love, others will get side effects from it.

If you can tolerate high doses of caffeine and other stimulants, then this is worth looking into. Otherwise, the poor serving schedule and lack of more proven ingredients means it’s not the best option on the market right now.
