MuscleTech Alpha Test Testosterone Booster Review – Benefits | Ingredients | Side Effects

*Last updated: January 2023

Alpha Test Review: In this review, we’ll see how MuscleTech Alpha Test compares to other testosterone boosters when it comes to increasing your energy levels, improving libido & confidence, supporting lean muscle growth, and enhancing masculine vigor among others.

About Alpha Test

Alpha Test is a testosterone booster manufactured by MuscleTech, a veteran supplement company originally from Canada.

Whether you are a professional athlete or just a regular gym goer, this supplement is supposed to help you increase your overall testosterone and energy levels by using only natural ingredients like Tribulus, Broccoli Powder, Fenugreek Extract, etc.

Manufacturers of Alpha Test claim this product offers the following benefits;

  • Increase Serum Testosterone Levels and Support ATP
  • Elevate (Free) Active Testosterone And Decrease Estradiol

They also claim that with Alpha Test, their test subjects increased free testosterone levels within 7 days. This claim, however, isn’t approved by FDA, so we should all take it with a pinch of salt.

Many users claim Alpha Test gave them good results for fat loss and preserving lean muscle mass, while also enhancing their workouts and strength in the gym. On the other hand, there are also some users who reported sub-par results when it comes to their energy levels, building muscle, and losing fat.

But is this product good for you? Can it give you the results you want? This MuscleTech Alpha Test Testosterone Booster Review will help you find out!

How to use Alpha Test

One bottle of Alpha Test contains 120 capsules. The supplement should be taken 2 times per day, with each serving containing 2 capsules. This means the product will last you 30 days.

Having 2 servings per day is decent for keeping the testosterone levels raised throughout the day without major declines, but in my opinion, it could still be better.

How? Well, the optimal amount of servings per day for the best results is 4, because by taking the supplement more frequently, you keep your testosterone levels elevated during the entire day.

Taking Alpha Test just 2 times per day can give you that testosterone spike when you take it, but 12 hours between servings is just too big of a gap for testosterone to stay elevated during this entire period.

Still, Alpha Test is better than a lot of its competition, because there are still many testosterone booster products which only have 1 serving per day, which I think is just ridiculously low.

Alpha Test Ingredients

What I like about Alpha Test is that it’s all natural – all of its ingredients come from natural sources. This is good if you want to stay away from any artificial stuff in your supplementation.

Its main ingredients for boosting testosterone are Zinc, Fenugreek extract, and Boron. While ingredients like Tribulus extract, Shijalit extract, and Broccoli powder can help with stamina, anti-oxidation, and overall health.

alpha test testosterone booster ingredients label and facts

However, I think they should’ve added more ingredients for increasing testosterone, instead of putting in all of these ingredients for general health and stamina. After all, this is supposed to be a product which main focus is to boost testosterone.

It’s always a plus to have these kinds of benefits, but I feel they could’ve made Alpha Test more potent if they put less woo-woo stuff, and more testosterone boosting ingredients.

Anyways, here are the ingredients explained;

1. Zinc Gluconate

This is one of the essential minerals our body needs for regulating many different enzymes. There are people who supplement with Zinc to reduce the frequency of colds and fevers, and also, to support optimal levels of testosterone in their body. Alpha Test contains 7.5mg of Zinc Gluconate, which is about 50% of RDA. While Zinc Gluconate is quite good and efficient form of Zinc, in my opinion they could’ve added more bioavailable forms of zinc like Picolinate or chelated Zinc. These types of Zinc are absorbed better than Gluconate, which means they are more efficient at keeping optimal testosterone levels.

2. Fenugreek Extract

Also known as Trigonella foenum-graecum, Fenugreek extract is a libido enhancer commonly used in Arabic regions. Beside its libido-enhancing properties, Fenugreek also supports glucose metabolism; having anti-diabetic properties.

3. Tribulus Extract

An Ayurvedan plant, Tribulus is known for enhancing libido and protecting organ function. However, it doesn’t have any testosterone boosting properties, which makes it an unnecessary supplement on this list in my opinion. They could’ve replaced it with an ingredient which would further help with testosterone production, rather than just increasing libido.

4. Shilajit Extract

Another Ayurvedic herb, this one helps with energy levels, mood, and absorption of vital nutrients.

5. Boron Citrate

This is a non-essential, dietary mineral which promotes testosterone production. The lowest effective dose for Boron is reported at 3 mg, and Alpha Test has 100mg. This should be more than enough for you to receive its full benefits.

6. Broccoli Powder

An ingredient that has potent anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties, but other than that, it doesn’t help much with testosterone. Again, this could’ve and should’ve been replaced with a testosterone-boosting ingredient.

Side effects of MuscleTech Alpha Test

Most of the users didn’t report any side effects from using Alpha Test, but there are some who reported following problems;

  • Acne outbreak
  • Digestive Problems
  • Difficulty Sleeping (although this could be due to the fact that they have taken the supplement too late in the day. I would never recommend you to take this supplement after 5, 6 in the afternoon)
  • Itchy Skin

Pros and cons of  Alpha Test

While Alpha Test is an overall good supplement with a few ingredients which actually work, there are also certain downsides to the products.

Here’s the list of its positives, and negatives.

Pros

  • All natural ingredients
  • Contains Zinc and Boron, powerful testosterone regulators
  • Reasonable Price
  • Ingredients like Broccoli Powder and Tribulus Extract can help with overall health and protect muscles and organs against oxidative stress

Cons

  • Too few servings, 2 per day is just not enough for keeping the optimal testosterone levels throughout the day
  • Tribulus, Broccoli Powder, and Shijalit Extract aren’t really useful for boosting testosterone. These are almost useless ingredients which just take space that could’ve otherwise been used for testosterone-boosting ingredients.
  • There are some users who report certain side effect with this product, although they are a minority.

Conclusion to MuscleTech Alpha Test Testosterone Booster Review

So that brings us to the end of our MuscleTech Alpha Test Testosterone Booster Review.

I certainly don’t want to undermine the potential this product has for helping with testosterone. But its efficacy could be much better if the product contained more testosterone boosting ingredients, and less gimmicky stuff.

Tribulus, Shijalit Extract, and Broccoli powder are all good ingredients for libido, anti-oxidation, and even general health – but that’s not the main goal here.

My guess is, when you are paying for a testosterone booster, you want to get the best for your money.

While Alpha Test is certainly a good product, there are other testosterone boosters which yield much better results, and that’s why I would recommend taking a look at our top testosterone booster list before choosing this supplement.
