The other issue is, SuperHuman Sleep doesn’t have any proven weight loss or fat-burning ingredients. It is missing vitamin D, cayenne pepper extract, and other core ingredients that would make it more effective at doing what it claims. Due to its downsides, Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep doesn’t score as high as we would want it to. There are better alternatives as far as weight loss goes.

There are a lot of ingredients in here, each intended for different purpose. We see many sleep aids and anti-stress herbs, but we don’t see too many fat burning ingredients in SuperHuman Sleep’s formula. There’s no green tea, cayenne pepper, glucomannan, chromium, or any of the commonly used ingredients in the best fat burner supplements. So, how will this one work for you? We’ll find out shortly!
As for the ingredient doses, many of them are well-served, with a few exceptions which we’ll touch upon below. There is one proprietary blend that contains Panax Notoginseng and Astragalus which only shows you the combined amount of the two ingredients – not their individual doses. This can be a problem when assessing the ingredient dosage for safety and effectiveness.
Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients in SuperHuman Sleep.
Glycine is an amino acid found in certain foods. It helps your body produce antioxidants such as glutathione, along with helping with the making of GABA in the brain, which influences relaxation. A good choice for a sleep supplement, all in all!
Tryptophan is another sleep aid. A natural amino acid, Tryptophan is involved in the making of serotonin, which your body then converts to melatonin – the main sleep hormone. Turkey is one of the foods rich in tryptophan, and it’s part of the reason for sleepiness after Thanksgiving meals.
Magnesium is an essential trace mineral. It’s involved in countless biological processes of your body, including sleep regulation and hormone production. However, it doesn’t have much of an effect on fat burning. 
Zinc is an excellent choice for a sleep supplement because it supports the production of neurotransmitters involved in the sleep-wake cycle. It also lowers stress hormones such as cortisol which can be detrimental to sleep.
However, there’s over 150mg of zinc methionine per serving of SuperHuman Sleep. This is a little over the top considering it yields 27mg of elemental zinc per serving. This much zinc is borderline dangerous for health. 40mg of zinc per day is considered by The National Institutes of Health a tolerable upper limit, with many people experiencing nausea and copper malabsorption at even lower dosages! 
Ashwagandha is an excellent choice. It helps to improve hormones involved in muscle building and stress control, assisting you in feeling and looking great. However, Ashwagandha isn’t one of the best fat burning ingredients around. In fact, we’re yet to find an ingredient in Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep that helps with weight loss directly; so far, we’ve only seen sleep aids.
Astragalus is a traditional Chinese herb that was used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. It has been used for a variety of things, including reducing symptoms of viral infections, treating diabetes and high blood pressure, strengthening the immune system, and improving circulation. It is said that it can be used to treat inflammation related to kidney health but more research is needed to confirm this. 
Panax notoginseng, also known as Sanchi, is an herbal medicine that has a wide range of benefits. It is mainly used in traditional Chinese and Korean folk medicine. One of its main benefits is that it helps alleviate symptoms of insomnia and anxiety. A good choice for wellness in general.
Chamomile is best known for helping with sleep. Tea is often made from this plant to help induce feelings of calm and relaxation.  The issue is, we already have a lot of sedatives in Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep. We’d rather like to see something that’s proven to burn fat or suppress appetite. This many sleep aids is unnecessary.
Glutamine is an ingredient commonly found in bodybuilding supplements, due to its ability to improve muscle strength and recovery. Hard training and stress deplete glutamine muscle stores, which is why supplementation can be beneficial for some people. But it’s yet another ingredient in Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep with no weight loss benefits.
Vitamin B6 is one of the 8 essential B vitamins. It plays a part in numerous enzymatic reactions and is involved in neurological health. It may help boost mental clarity and energy levels if you’re deficient in it. That said, most people do get enough through their diet as B6 is found in plenty of fresh veggies and animal products.
Melatonin is the chief sleep hormone, and an antioxidant. Supplementation of melatonin is a great way to get to sleep quickly, especially if you want to combat things like jet lag.
L-Theanine is a calming amino acid from green tea. It puts your brain in an alpha wave state, which reduces excessive thoughts and helps with mental recovery. 
Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep doesn’t have a single ingredient in it that will directly help you lose weight. All it has are sleep aids, anti-stress herbs, and general health ingredients. Sure, you could say Ashwagandha is beneficial for weight loss, and it is, but only because it helps reduce cortisol which is a hormone that indirectly makes you gain more weight if it’s chronically elevated.
Apart from Ashwagandha, though, SuperHuman Sleep is missing just about every single best ingredient for burning fat. There’s no:
- Glucomannan – for appetite suppression
- Green Tea Extract – for a metabolic boost
- Cayenne Pepper Extract – for thermogenesis
- Chromium – for blood sugar regulation
Put simply, Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep is a great sleep aid, but it has nothing in it that would indicate it’s a weight loss supplement.

However, Alpha Lion SuperHuman Sleep is a terrible value for money as a fat burner. Because, it doesn’t contain anything that burns fat!
