This review will put 2 products of the same price head to head in order to see which one you should spend your hard-earned money on. At a first glance, both products start with similar ingredients, although the doses differ. It is only when we pass the 6th ingredient do we see them becoming noticeably different. This is where Prime Male starts to shine showing it has more to offer for the same price. Sometimes less is better and more ingredients can mean they are only thrown there to make you think you’re getting more. This doesn’t seem to be the case here as the inclusion of ingredients such as black pepper shows us the creators of Prime Male want their ingredients to have synergy and work more efficiently.

What do we recommend?

Testrx vs Prime Male – The Basics

Both of the companies seem to promise the same old thing every company does, and that is to most effectively get you a higher testosterone level, improve in bed, enhance your workouts, and so on. When we look at the ingredients we’ll know if they’ll deliver or if it’s all BS.

The Formulas

Now we’re getting to the most important part. Ingredients are what make or break a product, so without a further a do let’s get into it.

Testrx Ingredients

Vitamin D3

This essential vitamin benefits us in many ways. From bone health to better mood and according to a study it can increase testosterone levels, although you would need 3 times the dose than you get in this product according to this lone study.

Vitamin K2

Similar to Vitamin D this essential vitamin helps your bones, but not only that. It has a really positive effect on our cardiovascular health and prevents blood vessels from clogging.

Vitamin B6

Although Vitamin B6 is essential and has many small benefits, there don’t appear to be any highly effective unique reasons to use this supplement.

Magnesium

The deficiency of this dietary mineral is common in developed countries. The lack of magnesium can lead to muscle cramps, raised blood pressure, and reduced insulin sensitivity. Therefore magnesium is a great ingredient to have in a supplement in order to prevent any of these nasty side effects.

Zinc

An essential mineral that plays many roles. The most common uses for zinc are the reduction of the common cold, as well as keeping testosterone levels optimal.

D-Aspartic Acid

This main acid is a regulator of testosterone synthesis. Studies show promise in aiding male fertility as well as boosting testosterone levels. Testosterone level increase is only temporary in healthy males.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is a plant supplement that is commonly used in testosterone boosters for its libido-enhancing properties. A lone study shows that fenugreek has a potential for testosterone boosting, but more research needs to be done to be sure.

Prime Male Ingredients

Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2, Vitamin B6

Just like Testrx the first 3 ingredients start the same. The only difference is that Prime Male delivers bigger doses of these vitamins meaning you’re getting more out of each serving.

Magnesium

Here we’re met with another familiar ingredient. You’ll notice that these products share a lot of the basic ingredients, mostly differing in dosages as well as later ingredients. From our personal experience, we prefer supplements with lower dosages of magnesium as side effects of magnesium can include diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and nausea which are all unpleasant and could ruin your day. Prime Male has 100mg of magnesium which is the amount we prefer in this case, whereas Testrx contains 200mg.

Zinc

The zinc dose is on a higher level with Prime Male(30mg, with 45mg being the highest dose recommended). This makes Prime Male an excellent choice for people with a risk for zinc deficiency. Testrx has a dose of 10mg which is good if you shouldn’t be taking too much zinc.

D-Aspartic Acid Calcium Chelate

Up till now, Prime Male was the better supplement in our eyes so we’re sad to see that they only offer 1600mg of D-aspartic Acid per serving while Testrx offers 2300mg. This isn’t a huge difference, though and the rest of the ingredients will decide which supplement we prefer in the end.

Asian Red Ginseng

This is where the similarities between the two products end. Ginseng is a common ingredient used in natural testosterone boosters as it boosts mood, immunity, and cognition. It is also known to help with erections, testosterone, and exercise, but not too potently.

Luteolin

Luteolin is a type of flavonoid. It possesses anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor properties.

Ashwagandha

If you have ever taken a natural testosterone booster or have done your research you’ll recognize this ingredient right away. Although it is most commonly known for reducing stress and anxiety, many companies use it in their testosterone boosters as it has been shown to enhance physical performance, increase testosterone levels, and improve reproductive health.

Nettle Root

Although many claim that Nettle root increases testosterone levels the evidence is shaky. This ingredient will help people with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia, though (aka, enlarged prostate).

Black Pepper

We love seeing black pepper as an ingredient. This is because it contains piperine which doesn’t do much by itself, but when combined with supplements it helps with the absorption time of other ingredients in your body.

Boron

Boron is a dietary mineral. It is a staple in many testosterone boosters as it can boost testosterone levels with the help of its anti-inflammatory effects.

Key Takeaway:
Even though both products seem similar as they share 6 ingredients, the dosages of these ingredients are different and apart from those ingredients the supplements greatly differ. That said, Prime Male is the superior option in our eyes.
