Ingredients

Total Test has four main active ingredients – Tribulus Terrestris, Laxogenin, Diindolylmethane (DIM), and LongJack Extract. All the ingredients are divided into three categories, based on their effect and function – Total T Complex, Stamina & Recovery Complex and Adaptogen Complex.

Total T Complex – Might Increase Your Libido, But Not Much Else

Total T Complex, as its name tells you, is aimed at helping you with your testosterone levels. The main ingredient in Total T Complex is Tribulus Terrestris extract, extracted from different herbal sources. Tribulus hasn’t been shown to be effective at boosting testosterone in human studies, which makes it a fairly weak inclusion.

Stamina & Recovery Complex – Helps With Inflammation

Stamina & Recovery Complex consists of Laxogenin as the primary ingredient, and of Horny Goat weed extract, Maca powder and Saw Palmetto as secondary ingredients. These mainly boost your libido and sex drive, along with reducing inflammation which can benefit your recovery from training.

Adaptogen Complex – A Few Decent Ingredients!

Adaptogen Complex consists of Diindolylmethane (DIM) as the primary ingredient, and also of the Pine bark extract, Bulbine Natalensys extract, and Chrysin.

Adaptogens are herbs that counter the harmful effects of the stress on your body. Whether that stress is physical, chemical or biological.

Best Ingredients in Sweat Ethic Total Test

In this section, we will focus on the four main ingredients – Tribulus Terrestris, Laxogenin, Diindolylmethane (DIM) and LongJack Extract.

1. Tribulus Terrestris

Tribulus Terrestris is a common supplement enhancing libido. It’s also said to help boost your testosterone. But is this true? Not, it’s not according to clinical studies.

Although it doesn’t quite excel at boosting your T, it has different health benefits, including reduced blood sugar and cholesterol, and increased libido.

It’s supposed to be the backbone of Total Test formula, but it’s a disappointing one. One the sexual side of things, Tribulus does appear to be a reliable and potent enhancer and can also improve your erections.

However, despite all the promises, the biggest con of this ingredient is the inability to boost test. Studies investigating Tribulus in sports performance have all failed to find benefits for power output and testosterone enhancement. The herb seems to be a possibly healthy herb that enhances sexuality but that’s as good as it gets. Therefore, you should take the promises made by Sweat Ethic with a grain of salt in this case.

2. Laxogenin

Laxogenin is a natural chemical found in plants. It helps the plant to grow. Rumors have it that it might promote muscle growth and increase strength in humans too. You’ll see many athletes and bodybuilders who have turned to laxogenin because they believe it boosts their muscle growth and performance.

But how true is all of this? Not very! The available data on its efficacy is limited, mixed, and altogether considered insufficient to support medical use of any kind. See what WebMD says about Laxogenin here: https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-1567-laxogenin.aspx?activeIngredientId=1567&activeIngredientName=laxogenin

3. DIM

Diindolymethane (DIM) has potent effects on estrogen metabolism and is able to keep your body balanced by preventing estrogen from shooting up and giving you those ugly man boobs or a flabby belly.

This is important because, DIM in small amounts can prevent conversion of testosterone into estrogen and it can act on more potent forms of estrogen and convert them into less potent forms. This conversion reduces the overall effects of estrogen in your body, and makes your body more efficient at producing testosterone.

However, taking too much DIM at once can actually do the opposite – increasing estrogen synthesis. DIM also exerts numerous anti-carcinogenic (anti-cancer) effects in the body which makes it a very useful and healthy ingredient. (source: WebMD)

4. LongJack

LongJack Extract, also known as Tongkat Ali, is a medicinal plant extract that reportedly boosts your testosterone levels, along with other some other health benefits.

LongJack contains several chemicals that have different effects in your body. On the testosterone side of things, the literature looks pretty unconvincing.

No peer-reviewed evidence currently establishes LongJack as a testosterone booster and the claims made by manufacturers cannot be proven.

Therefore, using LongJack as one of the main ingredients in Total Test is not the best idea if you ask us. That said, some research supports the beneficial effects of Longjack for sexual drive and male infertility. More on LongJack here: https://examine.com/supplements/eurycoma-longifolia-jack/

Anything Missing?

Most good Testosterone Boosters contain ingredients such as Vitamin D, zinc, magnesium, vitamin K2, Fenugreek, and Boron. Total Test misses all of them. Although it has some good herbal ingredients that support libido increase, Total Test lacks the most important ingredients that will support the enhancement of testosterone levels in your body.

How to Use Total Test (Dosage Instructions)

Total Test has recommended intake of 3 capsules per day after every meal. This way, your body will get all the ingredients evenly distributed throughout the day.

This is a good dosage, but you need to spread it into three daily servings. So one capsule with each of your main three meals. Even though it doesn’t suggest this on the label, it’s the only way to keep the ingredients circulating in your system.

Side Effects

You shouldn’t worry about the side effects of Total Test. Most of the ingredients are herbal based extracts and natural compounds, making them safe for most healthy individuals.

Price and Value for Money?

The price of the Total Test is around $59.99, putting it into the category of some of the more expensive T boosters on the market.

In terms of value, it doesn’t quite offer what we’d hoped for, especially in the testosterone department. It’s good for libido and general health but that’s about it!
