Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Review – The Basics

Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher is a weight loss supplement – made by Beldt Labs. It’s available in capsules and powder version on Amazon, Ebay and other websites online.

Skald fat burning pills are marketed to get your metabolism firing which will ensure you’re burning through your body fat as energy.

When you’re picking a fat burner you want to watch out that it’s all-natural. This ensures a full duration of supplementation won’t lead to side effects.

Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher uses a proprietary blend to mask its ingredients inside. This is a bit annoying as you can’t see the dose of individual ingredients listed on the bottle. What we’re left with is a product that can contain any amount of stimulants or other ingredients that could cause side effects.

So, is Skald a good fat burner? Does it really work? Let’s take a closer look.

The Ingredients

Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Ingredients

The entire ingredient formula of Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher weighs 341mg. And it’s all one ugly proprietary blend.

In case you aren’t aware, proprietary blends hide ingredient doses in them so that you’re only able to see the combined dose of all ingredients. Not good if you’re trying to assess whether the product works or not. Not to mention the inability to see if the doses are within the safe range.

Why do producers do this, you ask? If you ask them, they’ll tell you it’s because they have their own ‘secret’ formulas that they don’t want other companies to steal. But the actual real answer is that they skimp on ingredient doses, and hide it so you can’t see, and in they end they earn profit.

It’s not all bad with Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher though. There are a few ingredients inside, which makes it even more annoying since we can’t see their doses in a proprietary blend (except for caffeine).

1. Caffeine Anhydrous – CNS Stimulant

Caffeine is the most widely used stimulant drug in the world. It acts on your central nervous system to keep you focused, alert and energetic. It’s one of those ingredients that fits in almost every supplement – including pre workouts, brain supplements, and fat burners.

This is due to the fact that caffeine doesn’t just enhance your energy. But it also increases your metabolic rate through a process called ‘thermogenesis’. This is when your body starts to heat up from the inside, which leads to faster caloric expenditure. You’ll be burning calories even while you sleep, in essence. Of course, that effect isn’t too strong, otherwise everyone who drinks coffee would be ripped.

One additional benefit of caffeine is that you’ll feel less hungry. It reduces appetite and so it can be good for fighting those food cravings. It’s not the best appetite suppressant we’ve seen, though. Our favorite ones are Glucomannan and Garcinia Cambogia.

2. N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine – Helps With Mental Focus

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid you get from some foods. Including fish, chicken, cheese, and legumes. It’s a nice addition to Skald Fat Burner because it can help you with the mental aspect of dieting.

For example, when you’re underslept, your willpower will be lower, and consequently, you’ll be more likely to give in to sugar cravings. Ingredients like Tyrosine help boost your dopamine levels so you maintain focus during stress or sleep deprivation.

Here’s the issue though. N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine dose for mental benefits is between 500-1,500mg per day. The entire Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher blend of ingredients is only 341mg. There goes that!

3. Green Tea Leaf Extract – Great Natural Fat Burner

Green Tea is one of our top rated fat burning ingredients. Not just because it can help you with the mental aspect of dieting (just like the ingredients above), but also because it boosts your metabolic rate – helping you to burn a few extra calories per hour. It’s not a huge effect but it builds up over time. Especially when you pair it with a good diet and regular exercise.

Again, you need the right dose of green tea extract for it to work. Too little and it won’t have an effect. The sad thing is, we can’t tell how much of it is in Skald’s proprietary blend.

See a study on green tea and fat loss here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17201629

4. Bitter Orange Fruit Extract – Aggressive Stimulant

Now this is a disappointing choice by Skald. Also known as Synephrine, Bitter Orange Fruit Extract is known to cause adverse side effects. Primarily, it can put a strain on your heart – increasing blood pressure and leading to palpitations. In more extreme cases, this ingredient has been known to lead to a heart attack. Very poor choice – and we don’t even know its dosage. If it’s too high, it could cause serious issues.

5. White Willow Bark Extract – A Questionable Pain Reliever

This ingredient is similar to aspirin in its effects. It can help you with muscle pain, headaches, arthritis and other similar issues. It’s also been used for weight loss in the past, but current evidence doesn’t indicate that it works in this regard.

However, the biggest problem with this ingredient is in one of its active compounds. White Willow Bark Extract contains something called Salicin. This compound can be hard on your kidneys. In fact, the death of the famous composer, Ludwig von Beethoven was attributed in part to kidney damage that was caused by salicin. See more here: https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-955/willow-bark

6. Verbascum Thapsus Leaf Powder – Pointless Ingredient

This is also known as Mullein Leaf. It’s a wildflower originally from Asia and Europe but can grow pretty much anywhere.

This particular ingredient has long been used to treat respiratory conditions. Ask any veteran herbalist and they’ll tell you that Mullein Leaf is excellent for soothing, coating and protecting your entire respiratory passages.

Sounds great… except that it doesn’t have anything to do with weight loss! Mullein leaf can help with breathing and sinus discomfort, and that’s about it. A pointless ingredient in a fat burner if you ask us!

7. Theobromine

Theobromine is structurally similar to caffeine, and is found in dark chocolate. Despite this, it’s not on the same level when it comes to fat burning or boosting energy. It’s a weak compound overall.

Something like cayenne pepper extract would be much better to include here – it is actually proven to boost fat loss.

8. Elcampane Root Powder Another Pointless Ingredient

What’s up with all these lung health ingredients in Oxydynamid Fat Scorcher? It started off really well, but the last few ingredients are quite disastrous! I mean, if you have a breathing issue like asthma or bronchitis or chronic cough, this could be helpful. But you might as well go buy a professional respiratory health supplement in that case.

9. BioPerine Black Pepper Extract – Helps You Absorb Other Ingredients

BioPerine is a patented name for piperine or Black pepper Fruit Extract. It has some general health benefits, but the reason it’s included in Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher is its ability to boost absorption of other compounds – making them more bioavailable for your body. This is a good choice.

Anything Missing?

Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher started off with some really promising ingredients. Caffeine Anhydrous, Green Tea Extract and Tyrosine are all excellent ingredients. While the first two boost your metabolism, the latter can help with the mental aspect of dieting – improving your willpower.

But the rest of the label is quite disappointing. There are too many ineffective ingredients included in there. This fat burner would be much better off if it included these instead:

  • Glucomannan – Also known as Konjac Root, it’s a natural fiber that swells in your stomach upon ingestion, making you feel fuller. It can also directly aid weight loss.
  • Garcinia Cambogia – Another solid appetite suppressant that also boosts mood and fat loss directly, thanks to its active compound HCA.
  • Cayenne Pepper – Cayenne Pepper Seeds add fire to anything, including your metabolism. It’s one of the best fat burning ingredients around, a and must-have in a weight loss product.
  • Chromium – This one balances your blood sugar levels so you don’t feel as hangry and moody throughout the day. Very useful when on a caloric deficit.

How to Use Skald Fat Burner (Dosage Instructions)

The directions on the Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher label are to take 1 capsule on an empty stomach.

You may wonder, “when should I take Skald?” Ideally, you should take it 15-30 minutes before your first meal of the day.

Some people also ask how long does it take for Skald to work. The answer is, some of its ingredients such as caffeine get to work immediately. You should feel a boost in focus and energy levels 30-60 minutes after taking Skald. However, in terms of fat loss, that entirely depends on your lifestyle. Skald Fat Burner is not very effective in this department, so unless you’re eating a very strict diet and exercising 3-5 times per week, it probably won’t lead to visible weight loss.

Another thing to mention is that Skald should be cycled every 6 weeks to avoid side effects and tolerance build up. Also, avoid taking it within 5-6 hours of going to sleep. The aggressive stimulants in Skald Fat Scorcher can make it hard to fall asleep.

Side Effects

Does Skald have side effects? Yes, it does unfortunately, due to the combination of some of its stimulants.

The first problem is caffeine + Bitter Orange Extract combo. Bitter Orange is problematic on its own, let alone when paired with another stimulant. Everyone from our team who tested this fat burner (Andy, Gabriel, and I) all crashed pretty hard from using it. Initially, you feel a surge of energy, followed by an irritable feeling that sticks around for a few hours afterward. Thankfully, we didn’t feel any blood pressure or heart problems as some customers reported.

We did get sick of nausea and the ‘crash’ after 2 weeks so we stopped using it prematurely. If we endured through it, maybe it could’ve led to some noticeable weight loss. However, we didn’t notice anything for the first 2 weeks.

Another ingredient to watch out for is White Willow Bark. It contains salicin, a compound known to be hard on your kidneys. If you have any pre-existing condition, stay away from it and talk to your doctor first.

What do Other Skald Reviews Say?

Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher customer reviews are mixed. The product is very popular on Amazon, where it has over 2,100 reviews and a rating of 3.9/5 stars.

The majority of the positive reviews praised Skald’s energy and focus-boosting benefits. However, we weren’t able to find many legitimate reviews that reported significant weight loss.

In terms of the negative reviews, most of them revolved around the side effects of Skald. Which doesn’t come as a surprise, since it’s a pretty aggressive fat burner. Bitter Orange Peel should definitely be avoided, especially if you don’t tolerate stimulants very well in general.

With all of this being said, we recommend steering away from other customer’s testimonials and reviews, as you can’t really tell how many of them are legit, and how many are fake. We always recommend doing your own research by inspecting the ingredients and the science behind them. This will usually tell you right away whether the product is worth the investment or not.

Price and Value for Money?

How much does Skald cost?

One bottle with 60 capsules sells for around $49 on sites like Amazon. The price seems similar on other websites as well – including the official Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher website.

If you take the recommended 2 capsules per day, Skald will last you a month. This is not the best value for money, considering that you only get two servings per day. The best fat burners have 3-4 daily servings to ensure the beneficial effects don’t wear off. With just 2 servings, you’ll have a lot of ‘downtime’ where you aren’t burning any fat, because the ingredient’s half-life has expired.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Uses caffeine and green tea, both great for energy & focus
  • L-Tyrosine is an effective cognitive enhancer, but it’s underdosed

Cons

  • Every ingredient is in a proprietary blend
  • Bitter orange fruit and caffeine combination can be hard on the cardiovascular system
  • Uses a few risky ingredents
  • Contains some pointless ingredients that help with lung function

Is Skald a Good Fat Burner?

We won’t be sugarcoating it here, Skald isn’t a good fat burner. It only contains three decent ingredients – green tea extract, caffeine, and N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine. However, all of them except caffeine are hidden in a proprietary blend. Meaning, you can’t see their individual doses and asses whether they work or not.

The rest of Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher’s formula is quite terrible, there’s no other way to put it. It’s full of pointless ingredients that affect your sinuses and respiratory function, but not much else. Considering the premium price of $49, it doesn’t score as a very good fat burner.

Conclusion to Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher Review

So that brings our Skald Oxydynamic Fat Scorcher review to an end.

What can we say? It started off great, but the more down the ingredient label we went, the more disappointed we were. Except for caffeine and green tea, there’s nothing in Skald worth praising. Even L-Tyrosine, which is a great ingredient, is severely underdosed and doesn’t work here.

The inclusion of Bitter Orange Extract means it’s not safe for most people either. The stimulant combination is aggressive, and can lead to anxiety attacks, heart palpitations, and other side effects in sensitive users. You should also watch out for White Willow Bark Extract if you have a pre-existing kidney condition.

If you’re experienced with fat burners and like the more aggressive effects, then in that case it’s worth looking into. But for other people, there are far safer and more reliable options available for this kind of price.

  1. I appreciate your assessment of Skald it was both informative and brow raising I’ve already ordered the product and have three bottles including the Prizm Multivitamin but one of the fat scorcher bottles lacked the safety seal the bottle is listed for having 60 capsules but I counted 61 so for this reason I declined to injest the pill because it just didn’t seem right to me that the bottle was already open and the other problem that I had was I couldn’t find the ingredients in the fine print on the bottle I had to seek you out to find this potentially life saving information as I have high blood pressure the advertisers knew my age when I ordered I also take aspirin so this is no good for me I want to thank you again please add me to your newsletter keep me in the loop. I never said that as I just got this info from your assessment of Skald I certainly would not have purchased this product had I had this knowledge prior. It’s creepy to me to tell me that I said my comments before has the whole world gone mad ?
