Is Sculpt Nation Creatine any good? Our analysis

Very few supplements can upgrade your training and your athletic capacity as effectively as creatine. This supplement has got decades of strong scientific research showings its benefits for athletes and gym-goers.

Creatine is one of those supplements that can make you leaner, faster, and stronger while also reducing your recovery times from training. The best of all? It’s a fairly safe supplement that most people can take in doses of 1-3g per day without needing to cycle.

The problem with creatine is that there are so many options out there. It can be very confusing to decide which will work best for you, especially if you’re new to creatine. Sculpt Nation claims to offer the most potent, purest version of creatine on the market – and if you aren’t happy with it, you can get a refund.

About Sculpt Nation Creatine

Sculpt Nation creatine is a supplement powder intended to give your recovery, your muscle growth, and your gym sessions a boost.

It costs $37 per tub (30 servings).

It’s mixed with water and drank before your workouts or any time of the day continually for several weeks or months, which leads to a build-up in creatine in your body.

If you’re new to creatine, you may wonder what is it and how does it work? Creatine is a compound found in red meats and in our body naturally. Creatine is used to help boost your body’s ATP production – ATP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate, which is the energy produced by your cells.

Your ATP gets drained when you train hard, after a while, you start feeling fatigued. This is the result of ATP levels tanking. By taking creatine, you’re helping your body to maintain higher levels of ATP so you’ll be able to train harder and for longer.

In addition to boosting your muscular energy production, Sculpt Nation say their creatine will also help you:

  • Achieve quicker recovery between sets
  • Promote athletic enhancement
  • Build sprint ability
  • Boost muscle endurance

Sculpt Nation’s Creatine vs Other Creatine Supplements

Sculpt Nation contains 5g of regular creatine monohydrate. This is odd considering that it claims it has the purest form of creatine on the market. While creatine monohydrate is the industry-standard and highly effective at that, it’s not the purest form of creatine available. The best one we’ve found is called Creapure® pH10, which is patented and standardized to contain precisely 94% creatine monohydrate.

So right off the bat, Sculpt Nation loses some of its credibility for making sensational claims but not delivering on them. Moreover, if you look over at Trustpilot, you’ll notice Sculpt Nation as a company has only 1.9 out of 5 stars -some of the worse ones we’ve seen in the supplement industry.

Negative Sculpt Nation Testimonials

In fact, type Sculpt Nation in the search bar you’ll see concerningly many negative reviews and Youtube testimonials. People have caught the guy who owns Sculpt Nation – and is the face of the company – plagiarising and stealing other people’s content and rebranding it as his own. The guy’s name is Vince or also called V Shred. Look it up and see for yourself.

Company’s questionable reputation aside, how effective is their Creatine supplement at helping you build muscle? Is it worth the money? Let’s check the ingredients and dosage instructions in more detail before giving you our verdict!

How to use Sculpt Nation Creatine?

A single scoop of Sculpt Nation Creatine gives you 5g of creatine monohydrate, which is a solid amount. This amount though, needs to be cycled over the long-term. So you might want to take 1-2 scoops per day for several weeks before taking a one-two week break and repeating the process.

However, we prefer doing lower doses of creatine without cycling. In my case (Ivan), I’d take half a scoop, which is 2.5g of creatine, daily without cycling it. This allows for a more gradual and stable build up of creatine in my body, and is not as aggressive on the kidneys as superloading it only to suddenly stop taking it after a while.

What’s inside?

Sculpt Nation Creatine Ingredients

The main ingredient in Sculpt Nation Creatine is creatine monohydrate.

Other ingredients in Sculpt Nation Creatine include:

  • Citric Acid
  • Natural Fruit Punch Powder
  • Beet Root Juice
  • Sucralose

The ingredient profile looks clean, with Sucralose being the only outcast. This artificial sweetener has been linked with adverse long-term side effects, such as gut microbiome disruption and brain fog.

Though the evidence is still not conclusive on how (un)safe artificial sweeteners like sucralose are, we think there’s no need to use one when you can get pretty much the same taste with natural and beneficial flavors like stevia.

Side effects of Sculpt Nation Creatine

Sculpt Nation Creatine is a fairly safe supplement. Creatine itself has been well-studied and shown to be well-tolerated amongst most healthy users.

Note the word healthy here. As creatine is highly concentrated and filtered via your kidneys, you should talk with your doctor to get your creatinine and eGFR levels checked before using creatine, especially if you have any sort of kidney condition.

Is Sculpt Nation’s Creatine any better than regular creatine powder?

Sculpt Nation’s main selling point is that they offer cleaner creatine than most other products on the market. Which we can’t confirm is true.

The creatine in Sculpt Nation Creatine is the plain creatine monohydrate, which is the standard form of ingredient used in most creatine supplements – which are much cheaper might I add.

As a result, we don’t think Sculpt Nation Creatine is a good value for money when you can get the same type of creatine for a lower price.

Final verdict

Here’s a quick recap of our Sculpt Nation Creatine analysis and inspection;

  • Pros – helps you build muscle, 30 servings per tub, good tasting fruit punch flavor and easy mixability, improves recovery
  • Cons – not any better than plain cheap creatine monohydrate, priced $37 per bottle which is much higher than other creatine monohydrate supplements, contains artificial sweeteners which can be harmful in the long-run, slow-response and unhelpful customer support

Looking at Sculpt Nation Creatine reviews from other customers, it’s clear this is not the groundbreaking product that it pretends to be. It’s a plain old creatine monohydrate that you can find for a cheaper price on Amazon; https://www.amazon.com/creatine/s?k=creatine

And if you really want the best and the purest creatine possible, look into Creapure® which is a patented and standardized form of creatine with a high bioavailability rate. Our favorite product with Creapure® is Performance Lab® Pre. This is a stim-free pre workout that, along with Creapure®, also contains several clinically studied ingredients for maximizing muscular enhancement and energy production.
