Burn XT vs Vintage Burn – Which Burns Fat Better?

Burn XT vs Vintage Burn – which fat burner will bring you better results? We examine their ingredients, side effects, serving sizes and more. Short summary below, followed by a more detailed analysis.

SUMMARY (UPDATED FOR 2023): While neither Burn XT or Vintage Burn make it on our top 3 list, we prefer Vintage Burn’s more advanced formula. It contains 9 ingredients, including Green Tea Extract, Green Coffee Bean, Caffeine, and Garcinia Cambogia. Burn XT is a little cheaper, but it has 5 ingredients, and only 3 of them are backed by studies to help with weight loss – compared to Vintage Burn’s 4. Both products have poor serving schedules though, and so their effects can’t be maintained 24/7.

Burn XT vs Vintage Burn – The Basics

Burn XT is a thermogenic fat burner from Jacked Factory. It’s a very popular product on Amazon (over 20k reviews there at the time of writing this). It comes in bottles of 60 capsules and you’re supposed to take 2 caps per day.

Burn XT claims to boost your weight loss efforts, suppress appettie, and increase energy levels. Pretty much all that you’d expect from a good fat burner.

It uses 5 ingredients in its formula and can reportedly kick your metabolism into high gear. How? By raising your basal core temperature, and forcing your body into burning more calories to cool itself down. Okay, that sounds great, but what about its competitor?

Well, Vintage Burn is said to be “the first muscle preserving fat burner” supplement. Just like Burn XT, Vintage Burn is designed for both men and women. The Old School Labs’ flagship fat burner is also keto-friendly, and very popular on Amazon at the time of writing this. However, Vintage Burn boasts a little better score and reviews online compared to Burn XT.

Vintage Burn comes in bottles of 120 capsules and comes with 2×2 daily serving. This serving schedule is better than Burn XT’s once per day, which is quite ineffective at sustaining the fat burning effects. Ideally, you’ll want a fat burner with 3-4 daily servings to maintain the half-life of beneficial ingredients in your system – this is shown to work best for fat loss.

The Ingredients

Burn XT has 5 ingredients, while Vintage Burn contains 9. Both formulas share two common ingredients – green tea leaf extract and caffeine.

This is a good thing – we like that both products contain stimulants. These ingredients can be of massive help not just in terms of boosting the metabolism, but also keeping you mentally focused while dieting.

However, there are some key differences. The advantage of Burn XT is that it contains Cayenne Pepper. On the other hand, it’s missing Green Coffee Bean and Garcinia Cambogia that Vintage Burn has.

So, both formulas are incomplete. Vintage Burn also has a few unproven ingredients, such as Raspberry Ketones and Olive Leaf Extract. According to Examine.com, Raspberry Ketones are ineffective when taken orally.

Bacopa Leaf is a memory enhancer – we aren’t sure why it was included in Vintage Burn.

Burn XT, on the other hand, contains Acetyl L-Carnitine which doesn’t work for weight loss, unless you’re severely deficient in it. Most people aren’t (our body makes its own carnitine).

Overall, it’s a close call. Burn XT contains 3 great ingredients – Green Tea, Caffeine, and Cayenne Pepper. Vintage Burn, on the other hand, has 4 great ingredients – Green Tea, Caffeine, Garcinia Cambogia and Green Coffee Bean. The rest aren’t proven to work for fat burning.

Let’s have a closer look at both formulas (common ingredients are bolded):

Burn XT Ingredients

  • Acetyl L-Carnitine (700mg)
  • Green Tea Leaf Extract (450mg)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous (270mg)
  • Capsimax Cayenne Pepper Extract (50mg)
  • BioPerine Black Pepper Fruit Extract (5mg)

Vintage Burn Ingredients

  • Green Tea Leaf Extract (330mg)
  • Green Coffee Bean Extract (270mg)
  • Raspberry Ketones (200mg)
  • Olive Leaf Extract (160mg)
  • Caffeine (150mg)
  • Bacopa Leaf Extract (130mg)
  • Garcinia Fruit Extract (100mg)
  • Chrysin (100mg)
  • Forskolin Root Extract (60mg)

Key Takeaway:

Although neither Vintage Burn or Burn XT’s profiles look too impressive, we’d pick Vintage Burn’s formula as the winner if we had to. It contains some better ingredients with a more sensible dose of caffeine (150mg compared to Burn XT’s aggressive 270mg). Vintage Burn, however, uses a few pointless ingredients – such as Raspberry Ketones and Bacopa, neither of which can help you burn fat. We’d rather see an ingredient like Glucomannan included instead, or perhaps GTF-chromium to balance blood sugar levels.

Side Effects – Which Product is Safer?

Both products contain relatively safe ingredients. However, some doses are a little above than what we normally recommend in fat burners.

Burn XT contains higher dose of caffeine. 270mg per serving will be too much if you can’t tolerate the drug very well. It also has 450mg of green tea extract per serving, which we think is pushing it. In case you didn’t know, green tea extracts have been shown to cause liver strain at high doses, which is why we tend to stay away from anything that has more than 300mg per serving.

Price and Value for Money?

Depending on where you buy it, Burn XT will cost you around $30. This puts it in the lower-mid price range, which is decent. The ingredients in it a great for energy and focus, especially with the high dose of caffeine. But we don’t quite rate it as the best fat burner, or best value for money product in its category.

Vintage Burn, on the other hand, costs $49.99. This puts it in the mid-high price range for a fat burner. This is right up there with some of our top rated fat burners. But it can’t keep up with them in terms of the effects.

With that being said, if we had to pick, we’d say Vintage Burn is a better value for money than Burn XT. This is despite it being more expensive. It has better ingredients and doses overall.

Our Conclusion to Burn XT vs Vintage Burn

We don’t think that Burn XT or Vintage Burn are worth their price tags.

Burn XT contains caffeine, green tea extract, and some cayenne pepper – but that’s about it. The doses of caffeine and green tea are a little too high for our liking, which means you might be at risk of side effects. Despite its decent price, we think better value can be found elsewhere.

Vintage Burn fares a little bit better. It too contains green tea extract and caffeine, but in more sensible doses. Making it safer to take long-term. However, it uses raspberry ketones which have been debunked. Along with Bacopa Leaf and a few other pointless ingredients that won’t have any effect on your weight loss.

Ultimately, you’ll want to do more research before buying either Vintage Burn or Burn XT. They lack some core ingredients that would make them more powerful at burning unwanted fat. If it has to be one of the two though, then the extra 20 bucks for Vintage Burn is worth it.
