Biography

Bella’s Early Life

Bella Hadid was born on October 9, 1996 in “The Capital of the World”, Washington, DC. She was diagnosed with Lyme’s Disease at an early age, something that caused her to have low energy and other debilitating symptoms.

However, despite her setback, Bella’s passions for sports and fitness had no limits. Her childhood dream was to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

As she grew older, Bella’s interests started expanding. She wanted to combine her passion for fitness with her growing interest in modeling, which is something that ran in her family. Inspired by her older sister Gigi who was a successful model, Bella soon started following in her sister’s footsteps.

Getting into Modeling

In 2012, at the age of 16, Bella began doing her first gigs as a model. This included the likes of Flynn Skye, along with featuring in minor roles for a number of movies.

Within the following two years, Bella’s career grew to the point that she decided to pursue her passions full time – moving to New York City to study fashion photography all while enjoying the fitness lifestyle.

Social media pictures of Bella’s lean figure and awesome workouts soon started attracting fans from everywhere.

Career Hiccups

In 2014, Bella was arrested and had her driver’s license suspended for driving under the influence. She also had to perform 25 hours of community service and attend 20 hours of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Needless to say, this left a taint on her early modeling career.

However, Bella was aware that there’s no point living in the past. She decided to learn from her experience, push past this brief period of her life, and turn the focus towards building her career.

Rise to Success

One of Bella’s breakthroughs came in late 2014 when she appeared at the New York Fashion Week. In the following year, Bella was recognized by the likes of Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger – soon becoming an ambassador for these brands.

By the end of 2015, Bella made her debut for Chanel, Philipp Plein, Bottega Veneta and other massive fashion houses – setting the stage for her international success.

Bella Hadid Workout: How Does Bella Train?

Bella works hard for her body. She trains for an hour, sometimes two or three hours per day, combining high-intensity cardio with gym exercises for her glutes, abs and legs.

However, she makes sure not to overdo it due to her chronic Lyme disease.

Bella’s body can’t handle workouts that are too aggressive. If she feels she’s over-done it, she’ll take a break or participate in lighter forms of physical activity such as Yoga.

Bella Hadid’s workout routine

Here’s how a typical gym workout routine looks for Bella;

  • Boxing, 3 rounds, each lasting 1 minute
  • Donkey Kicks, 12 reps each side

  • Squats, 20 reps

Bella Hadid Diet

Bella has had her fair share of detox diets and juice cleanses. After years of experience, she’s realized these aren’t healthy nor maintainable – as a result, she now advocates for balanced eating.

More specifically, Bella will eat healthy most of the time – this includes lean proteins, healthy fats, and tons of veggies – but won’t hold back on occasional family dinners. By following the 80/20 rule where she’s eating clean most of the time, Bella is able to maintain her lean and toned figure all year-round.

Foods Bella Eats

Bella likes to start her day with a glass of lemon water. She says she feels this is healthier than drinking plain water, and gives her energy for the day ahead.

In terms of the foods you’ll find on Bella’s plate, these include:

  • Lean cuts of meat
  • Yogurt
  • Nut butters
  • Hummus
  • Salmon
  • Whole-grain pasta
  • Green salad, Kale, Broccoli and other veggies

Bella Hadid Supplements

What are some of the supplements Bella takes to stay healthy and have radiant skin?

According to her nutritionist, Bella takes three key supplements:

  • Vitamin C
  • CoQ10
  • Chlorophyll drops mixed in water

While vitamin C and CoQ10 help Bella maintain her youthful and elastic skin by boosting the production of collagen and protecting from harmful free radicals (byproducts of our metabolism), Chlorophyll helps detox Bella’s body so she stays vibrant from the inside out.
